RPGs with the Best ART

HeavenShallBurn

First Post
I try to pick up RPG books with very good art even when I'm not sure I'll ever use them. I'm probably not alone in that here, but I'm sure I've missed some or just never heard of them.

Thus the BEST ART THREAD this is the place to recommend those RPG products at the very top. The best art of them all.

My nominations

Exalted is definitely my first pick, there are a few blemishes but overall the 2e book is beautiful in itself and so are many of the supplements 1e as well as 2e.

Draconominicon I initially picked up the 3e draconominicon for the art alone, I've used it a lot since, but it has the best dragon art I've ever seen. Lots of good Todd Lockwood pieces in here.

A Game of Thrones the game's not exactly my style but the interior art is evocative and well done it brings Martin's world to life.

I always found "Nightbane" (formerly Nightspawn) art to be exquisite.

Personally, I found the art in Game of Thrones terrible, almost cartoony. To each his own, though.

I really, really liked the artwork in Artesia. Not like most fantasy art, and consistent throughout.

Mage: Sorcerer's Crusade looks quite purty, I think. Even the layout and stuff.

I'll second A Game of Thrones. I love the artwork and style, for the most part.

There were two versions of the AGoT book printed, you may have seen the other one. Of course it could just be different taste :) I know I like the art in the one I have.

Not sure which I have. 'Terrible' was probably too harsh; I just found it simplistic in places, not really suited to the source material, and it unfortunately reminded me of the Bible comic books I used to see when I was a kid.

Iron Kingdoms / Privateer Press

Matt Wilson and the gang from PP have some of the consistently best artwork around. In addition, the artwork in their "No Quarter" Magazine is of the same quality as found in their hard-covered books.
