Rules for Hit Locations?

d30 -> Roll d6.

1-2 -> d10
3-4 -> d10+10
5-6 -> d10+20

Good idea, but I just wanted an excuse to go buy a d30 :)

So I picked up a d30 on Saturday, and then used the d30 Hit Location table (above) in my modern game last night, and it worked great! Basically, I just roll on the table whenever dramatically appropriate. So last night, when a character got shot with a sawed-off shotgun I rolled on the table and found that it only hit her arm (so it wounded her instead of killing her).

Is "The Armory" a product or a company? Where can I find more info?

Thanks!

it was a company out of the UK. back in the early to mid 80's. though, i don't know if they are still around.

New thing called Google, you should give it a try. :D I entered "hit location chart", and got several bazillion hits.
Wow. That's really helpful. (that was sarcasm by the way)

Of course I already checked Google! (How do you think I found the tables above?) The reason I asked the question on EN World, is because I don't want to sort through several bazillion web pages. That, and there's probably a ton of people here who've actually played with different hit location rules and can offer advice...

There's also interesting rules for "called shots," which I consider related to any discussion of "hit location" in Mongoose's OGL Horror.
Cool. I've been meaning to check that one out anyway. Thanks!
