Rules for madness

If you are interested, here is an old spell caster "template" I used a long time ago. It's incomplete, but can give you a place to start. It needs to be accompanied by good rollplaying to work of course.

Madness Template

· Unable to use any skill or feat that requires concentration except for artistic ones.
· Immune to all alignment and thought detection effects, including sense motive.
· +4 save vs. mind affecting spells and effects, with the exception of illusions which are easier to believe giving a -4 save instead. Certain spells of the enchantment school (DM’s discretion) even if successful have a 10% chance of causing the opposite effect (eg Charm Person can make the insane character much more hostile).
· Automatically fails all sense motive checks, and is unable to bluff.
· -4 to concentration checks.
