Rules for Special Materials?

Are their rules anywhere for special materials that I am missing? Also, did they ever add masterwork weapons back into the Adventurer's Vault? I know they have adamantite, but isn't that just a magic weapon now?

Materials are part of the magic item now, so higher enhancement armor is made of material X, while a Cold Iron sword is its own enchantment.
