Rules for volcanos, earthquakes, natural disasters

I plan an adventure on a convention in a volcanic setting. The volcano will erupt while the PCs are on the vulcan.
I want to read the special rules I need for this adventure before I run this adventure.
I do not remember any rules, so I ask you if you remember some.
In which book are rules about natural earthquakes (e.g. damage), eruptions of volcanos with damage of lava flows, heat, damage of debris (stone) avalanches, damage of cave collapses and rules for other things which could be interesting in this setting of which I have not thought of.
Do you recommend a book on this topic?

Though let me ask you, does your group enjoy strong plausability in thier fantasy, or is there anyone in the group that knows a thing about geology? If so, they might balk at the idea of a volcano based adventure or run really fast away from the location if they get the chance because how bad being around a volcano gets.

That covers it pretty well.

If you want to use spells to simulate natural effects, have a look at Earthquake, Transmute Rock to Mud, Transmute Rock to Lava, Obedient Avalanche, Incendiary Cloud....
 

Just add Miasma and Bombardment or Comet to that list of spells.
Imagine all of them in effect at once, centered on the PC ... :confused:
 

Thank you all for your answers. I have thought of that spells (not of all) but I thought there are seperate rules for natural disasters not enhanced by magic.

@frankthedm: I do not know if somebody of the players have studied geology. :)
The adventure will be for 7th level PC. They get a job from a high level wizard which they should not decline. :) They have to prepare a spear in a special ceremony at a special place so the wizard later can enchant this weapon.
The +2 spear the player characters will get wil be enchanted as a +2 spear a flaming burst shock spear, so I thought as an idea for an adventure the tip of this spear must be put for a short morment into a flowing river of lava and later the PCs must use the spear as ligntning conductor. How the players characters achieve this mission goals is up to them. So certainly the main mission for the players characters will be to travel to a volcano (there they will encounter some monsters) and to prepare the +2 spear in this special cermony. They can search a river of lava in the "Underdark" or climbing on top of an active volcano.

BTW This adventure is only for a convention. IMC the PCs must make similar missions, because with the item creation feats and saving and spending money the PC get to easily permanent magic items instead of the buff spells.
