For those of you who are interested in RuneQuest but find the core books to be a bit thin, there are some good news on the horizon.

RuneQuest Deluxe is now confirmed to be the compilation of the Core Rulebook, Companion and Monsters in a single 352-page volume priced for $39.95.

I know some will be happy around here.

What's really ironic is one of the biggest complaints about the Avalon Hill version of Runequest was the variations on the rules. There was the Deluxe Edition (boxed and hardback), the Player's Edition, the GM's Edition and the Standard Edition. After the standard edition was released a good percentage of the future products had a section with the missing rules that might be needed for the product.

Of course, Mongoose is working the opposite direction. AH started with the "full" version and worked towards a "crippled edition." Mongoose is now releasing a "full edition."
