RPG Print News – Melsonian Arts Council, Chaosium, and More

OSR, Call of Cthulhu, D&D 5E, Star Trek, Shadowrun, and Xcrawl Classics all have print products out this week.

The OSR gets a swamp based hex crawl. A collection of short adventures drops for Call of Cthulhu. Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition gets a new campaign setting. Star Trek is back in a second edition with GM support. Finally, Shadowrun gets a supplement and a reprint of first edition and Xcrawl Classics is back as well including dice, tokens, and a collection of adventures.

As much as seeing that cover brings back a ton of memories, the 1st edition of Shadowrun was a little rough. The 2e was better presented and cleaned up.

Still that cover is fire.

Ranks up with the Moldvay Basic, and 1e PHB as showing the game as it should be played.

( as long as you don't stop to think about why a corporation has a fancy computer terminal in a dirty alley)
