Well, I'd expect attack velociraptors to be useful only in the same situations in which attack dogs are useful.

How's their sense of smell? Airport bomb-sniffing velociraptors could be quite useful. Or drug-detection velociraptors: "Excuse me, your bad seems suspicious. Stay put." *CHOMP* "I told you to stay put."

They'd still make good light cavalry, for reconnaissance, mounted with cameras. For soldier-mounted heavy cavalry, we're planning to clone tyrannosaurs and issue shock-lances.
