S&SS update! Relics and Rituals 3

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
Well folks I got some interesting tidbits for those of you that own R&R1 and R&R2. Along with other source books. R&R3 will be coming out BUT it won't be open call. It will however update and correct spells to make them 3.5 compliant. And not just from R&R series but all other sourcebooks as well. Check it out:

There is.

Unfortunately, it will not be an Open Call book. We will, however, be
using it to update (to 3.5) and generally fix spells from our various soft-
cover setting books, such as The Wise & the Wicked, Warrens of the
Ratmen and the like.

Regards,
Joseph

Sorry PC. I was trying! :p :)

Dragonlancer,

There might be that too. But I do know there is some errata for R&R2 available from last Quarterlys.

Interesting.

But I wonder, how many CCs and R&Rs will be made?

How about at least one for each continent?

BTW, I picked up Termana think week - some good reading! The gazeteer sort of ruins the surprises though - just not as much 'tingly anticiaption' awaiting the hardcover this way...

True but the stuff on the Tepjue cities I understand was pretty interesting.

As for how many are made, just as many as people want I imagine...or not. I have no idea or control over such matters.

Nightfall, some questions: The quote you quoted seemed to imply that the only spells from previous sources they would be updating to 3.5E would be the ones from the soft-cover books...is that true, or will it do that from the first two R&R books also?

Secondly...is that all the book will be, just old material updated to the new revision? I wouldn't ask ordinarily, but after purchasing the CCR, I could believe they'd do it.

And on a minorly divergent point, they forgot to list the Extraplanar and Native subtypes for the Outsiders in the CCR darn it! :p

Al,

While I have no particular insights into this book I'll give you what I know:

My understanding is they will cover all spells, much like the spell lists from R&R2 did. Is this for certain? No. But that would be well on target for what I believe Joe does. Which is give the fans what they want AND be a perfectionist when it comes to such details.

I think there was mention of some new material but no idea how much or in what quanties.

Note much of this is just based on a little of the thread I read yesterday. This does NOT mean I'm involved or know ANYTHING about the participants. Cause I don't. :p That said I will keep you up to date as I can if anything else about this comes my way.

Yeah I noticed that too. But I believe unlike other settings, there are FEW native outsiders other than the occasional assimar/tiefling.

Hope that helped.
