Sacred Fist for 3.5

So any ideas how long I will have to wait for an official 3.5 revision of my beloved Sacred Fist?

I could do it myself but that is one area I really have no interest in getting involved in. (The changing and or designing of PrC Classes).

So does anyone know?

AFAIK it has been stated that the splatbooks (e.g. DotF) will neither be rewritten for 3.5, nor will they be 'upgraded' via errata or web enhancements.

New '3.5 class books' may re-introduce the splatbook PrCs, or similar PrCs, but any 3.5 mod of the Sacred Fist will have to be homebrew (yours or somebody else's).

Hmm maybe

Maybe, if the books get round to being in England, I will have a go at people's favourite classes. Mine first of course :p. I should imagine there isn't that much work required, heck perhaps I can somehow make it official with WotC (but I doubt it).

I too am interested in updating Sacred Fist for 3.5E.

Clearly it will need quite a bit of work. Previously, the puissant fists and no shadow blows abilities were a staple of the class. Since it scaled up as you gained levels in the PrC, and because of the tiered DR system, eventually you would get to the point where you could easily overcome all non-epic DR.

But now, that isn't the case. Since Sacred Fist basically requires you to give up all other weapons, attacking creatures with a special material DR or alignment DR (not DR X/Magic) will be a problem, since a Sacred Fist will not be able to use other weapons without losing class features.

So Puissant Fists will have to be completely changed -- probably into DR-defeating abilities like the 3.5 Monk has.

Flurry attack should probably also get upgrades like the 3.5 Monk has for Flurry of Blows.

Also, the unarmed damage progression should probably be revised to something similar to the 3.5 Monk.

No Shadow Blows can probably stay as it is, since at that point you are effectively getting your Wis bonus as an enhancement bonus on your unarmed attacks.

Most of the other class abilities can probably stay as they are, although as I remember. the SR gained from Inner Armor was pitiful.

I'd be interested in attempting a conversion.

I note that our own Wulf Ratbane plays a shaman/sacred fist in Piratecat's campaign. One presumes that they might work up a conversion -- maybe they'll share. :D

Then I won't feel bad that I never purchased any of them but instead borrowed them from friends.

I guess that Living Greyhawk will have revisions of the class for its official campaign. If I remember well, they should switch to 3.5 by Christmas.
