Saint/Risen Martyr combo? [Boed]

From the Book of Exalted Deeds, there is a Saint template and a Risen Martyr prestige class.

1. Can a saint become a risen martyr, or would he lose his "sainthood"?

2. Conversely, can a risen martyr become a saint?

Saint is a template that can only be applied to non-outsider, non-elemental, living creatures. Risen Martyrs are deathless, therefore non-living.

gfunk is correct. Becoming deathless automatically disqualifies you from sainthood and turning deathless makes you no longer a saint. So it only works if you can somehow gain the abilities of risen matyr but still only be a normal living creature.
