Same race favored enemy

OK, I can't for the life of me find it, but isn't there a rule that only an evil ranger can chose his own species as a favored enemy?

Yeah, Vegepygmy is correct, that was a 3.0 rule. I remember the blurb in Masters of the Wild talking about taking a non-human race, just so you can take favoured enemy: human (a good choice!).

I'm glad they got rid of that one...
