The King’s Players
The Duke of Gascoyne, Max “the Mad,” has kidnapped the most famed actress and the most respected writer in the Kingdom, and is forcing them to create a play glorifying his insane ambitions. The authorities have no interest in antagonizing “Mad” Max by insisting on their return, so it is up to the King’s Players, the members of the kidnapees’ theatre, to do the job themselves. Buckle your swashes, and prepare to storm Max’s castle to rescue your fellow thespians!
D&D 3.5, 6 players, 6th level
I'm planning on running this Friday 12pm-5pm, but if enough people want to, the exact time could be changed, as my Friday is completely open right now.
EDIT: I'm switching this over to Saturday 10-2!
The King's Players are:
Baldwin Pickfair – halfling bard actor
A giant among actors, not so much off the stage. Never gets to play the lead, since he's three foot six.
"I played Richard III. There were five curtain calls. I was an actor once, damn it. Now look at me. Look at me!"
Raffe Grymsdale – half-elven monk actor
The Elven Opera-trained half brother of Zacheus. They don't sing in Elven Opera.

Zacheus Grymsdale – human bard, actor
The leading man amongst the Players, thanks to his chiseled jaw and charm. Half-brother of Raffe.
"You may know me from such plays as 'Lysistrata' or 'Taming of the Shrew'..."
Ulric "Ox" Oxespring – half-orc fighter, stagehand
The muscles that move the scenery.
"You may think this is a crap job. I spent six months in the trenches at the siege of Karlonis. Now, that was a crap job."
Gyles Shawe, Count Ravenswood – human swashbuckler, nobleman, theatrical entrepreneur
Owning a theatre makes for good relations with one's fellow nobles.
"This is nothing, a trifle. I'll take care of it myself."
Talia Froste – human illusionist, special effects technician
The secret ingredient to any stage production is magic!
"Yes, I can make the stage blow up. No, not actually blow up! Illusionist here!"
