Hey all,
I was creating a Succubus character earlier for the heck of it and something came up. I don't know if this might've been answered before, but I couldn't find anything on it, so sorry if you're somehow offended. In any case, the question is, a monster class only gets feats when they're told to basically. Thus, the succubus in question starts with one feat. That's fine.
But what about weapon and armor proficiency? Every one of the basic classes has simple weapon proficiency at the very least or some sort of special set of weapons. Would a monster class have to take these feats to become skilled with weapons before they were able to take their first class level? I would think yes, but I'm just curious if there's been an official ruling or something I missed.
Thanks in advance.
