I'm off to Savannah on Saturday for a week to see family, and I was curious if any ENWorlders have any suggestions of things to do while in town...

make sure to read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

the founding of the Methodist Church

the creation of the State of GA.

visit Ft Pulaski on your way to Tybee Island.

do the River walk or head down Bay Street.

eat at Lady and Sons... after standing in line for 2 hours...

eat, drink, and be merry. visit the city market. visit the 23 parks or however many of them are left that the original planners of the city made.

the Old Pink House is a nice restaurant for southern cuisine. make reservations early.

Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of America, was born here. the first meeting house is a National Historic site. many Girl Scout troops head here for a tour.

for future reference if you go during St. Pat's Day... prepare to be swamped. they have a huge party there.
