D&D 5E Save dexterity with Plate armor !

First Post
My warrior has 16 dexterity (+3) and uses armor plate.
The Wizard uses Fireboll spell against the warrior. He needs to make a dexterity save against the DC of the Wizard.

My Warrior uses in this dexterity save the bonus of the Dexterity +3 using the PLATE armor ?
Or does not use Dexterity bonus, because plate armor?
Or armor bonus that relates is only in CA and did not with Save Dexterity against Fireball?

The only things affected by plate armor are AC, encumbrance, and Stealth checks. Your saving throws, including Dexterity saves, are unaffected. You roll 1d20+3 versus the wizard's save DC.

Armor does not affect your saving throws in any way.

You always include your Dexterity modifier when making a Dexterity saving throw. If you are proficient in Dexterity saves, you add your Proficiency Bonus as well.

Heavy armour does not let you add your dexterity modifier to AC.

In all other cases, Saves, Ability checks, Attack rolls, it works as normal.

If Dex save were affected by the armor, then dumpstating Dex would be hyperoptimal.

In general principles, this is exactly the same as in 3e -- there are very specific different rules for AC, Reflex, Skills.
