Scarred Lands Revised! With your assistance of course...

Erm.. what do you want help with? toning down the Vigilant? putting in the thousand delightful varieties of Slitheren? Pricing magic items - or updating spells to 3.5? (I have a revised Fracture spell around somewhere) Most of the revison work I did was before CC revised came out, (ratmen as PCs, Hag and Fatling Templets) I have since changed to a homebrew with less scarred lands influence, so I would be no help with history or geography, I never learned it to begin with.

Mostly I'd prefer help with consolidating various info. Pricing info wouldn't be remiss but I figured I'd handle the aspect of "buying" magical items. Toning down the Viligant...eh. Maybe. We'll see.

Well my hope is consolidate as much SL info into one place with everyone's help AND maybe fix some continuity problems/Metaplotting stuff.

Course it might not jive with everyone but we'll see.

I hope it goes well, SL was very interesting, but there were SO many books I couldn't keep up.

My sentiments exactly!

I really dig what you're doing, Nightfall, as I think this setting has so much potential that went unnoticed.

What's wrong with the vigilant? I've heard others say it's overpowerd, but I don't find it so. Compared to the barbarian, it's actually rather weak, imo. Sure, the d12 hit die is nice, and he gets a few weak feats for free, but it doesn't compare to the continuing advancement of a barbs rage and DR. His spells are all rather weak and mostly useful for information gathering and solo adventuring, which almost never happens.

Anyways, just curious.

The vigilant is a grab bag of powers and seems a bit potent to me too.

I have my 3.5 night touched lurking around the rogues gallery forum. I gave some thought to revising the vermin host to be 3.5 and use the swarm rules as well.

Psion,

Yes but compared to the other first round Pr-classes of the Scarred Lands, noting specifically Penumbral Lord, it's not like he's the first with a mechanic balance issue. In any case I welcome 3.5 night touched AND more night touched beyond the hound and controller.

My hope with this project (and please folks understand I DO want input but it will be guided input.) not only an increased awareness of SL stuff but to fix stuff and maybe help myself with possibly setting up a concordance of sorts for SL newbies, oldbies and maybe a few short stories of the Scarred Lands too.
