Scarred Lands

The sourcebooks have been good, but man, get away from the East already. Or do a sourcebook on the Toe Islands! (Yeah, I've got my Freeport to the north of the Toes as a kidna mac daddy of Pirate islands.)

Actually....

I'm making my own "sourcebooks" for areas of the west. Right now my group is in Darakeene (Meliad, to be precise). I made my own map of the city based off the map in the Ghelspad HC. Moved a few things, made the river a bit wider (seemed somewhat narrow to me), that sort of thing. The point is, I'm making the Scarred Lands my own, taking the wonderful goodness that is already there, and personalizing it. I'm not changing anything drastically, just tweaking to my tastes. So far so good.

Joe,

Well we'll see what happens. I'm sure though some where down the road, we'll see stuff for pirates and guys on the Blood Sea. Only a matter of time I'm sure since they do play a prominent role in the Scarred Lands.

Tor,

That's cool man! I certainly agree, make the Scarred Lands your own. That's always half the fun.

Hey Nightfall, I have some questions to ask you about Scarred Lands. I just discovered the setting, and how much it rocks, so I went out and bought two of the books: The Divine and the Defeated and the Calistia Gazetter Thingy. I couldnt find any other books at the store I was at, but since it was just my birthday, I have a bunch of Gift Certs for my FLGS. Which books should I pick up if i want to DM a scarred lands campain besides the ones i have?

If you don't have these books, definitely get them:

The Scarred Lands Campaign Setting: Ghelspad
Relics and Ritual 1 (and/or 2)
Creature Collection 2
SL Dm's Screen and companion.
(Wait until June to get CC Revised. Trust me, it will be good.)

Books that are great fun and good for DMing a campaign:

Wilderness and Wastelands
Hornsaw: Forest of Blood sourcebook
Shelzar: City of Sin sourcebook

Those are some of my top choices to use
