Sci fi minis?

Hey all, I am looking for some sci-fi minis. I need them to be pre-painted plastic...What are my options?

I know about star wars and may go that way, what about others? Thanks

The coming-soon (IIRC) Mutant Chronicles might have some, but they're relatively huge -- 54mm, IIRC.

Besides Star Wars minis, you can try some of the varous WizKidz Clix lines. Ask your FLGS proprietor or someone else who might know- some sets are more sci-fi-ey than others. For example, the Armor Wars set features a LOT of characters who wear power armor (Iron Man, Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, Guardians, War Machine, The Ghost, etc.)

In particular, the current Alien vs Predator and Halo sets are also a good buy in that regard.

I'm sure some of the MageKnight and HeroScape minis would also be appropriate for most campaigns as well.

If you need mechs of some kind, consider the MechWarrior sets (which would really be more like power armor in scale with other mini sets), the X-Men Sentinels clix, and Rackham's AT-43 (http://www.tabletopgamingnews.com/?p=5186).

I've found that Storm Troopers and minis from the original Star Wars minis are too iconic for me to use in my Dawning Star game. But the clones and anything from the expanded universe works fine for me.

Also AT-43 I'd suggest though they are more expensive (I think).

em4 (Crystal Caste distribute in US) have beautiful pre-painted pewter minis at around £10.99 for 5, barely more than some plastics.
