This is a must buy.

I went out and bought mine on Tuesday. I've played through it twice, making different choices, and I've seen two of the four available endings. One of the endings I've seen just screams "sequel" to me. In the other ending I've seen, the BBEG won.

If you die, you are taken back to the last branch, so you can make the other choice. The animation is ok, but not the best I've ever seen. There are times, for example, when the party appears to be just strolling along, when they should be walking at a brisk pace. Also, the mouths are...odd...sometimes. But generally, it's fine.

This is a fun toy, but at 24.95, it's a bit pricey. I've gotten about 2 hours of entertainment out of it so far, and will probably get another one or two. But once I've played through to all four endings, I can't imagine ever sticking it in the DVD player again. If this is going to be the Next Big Thing, I think they'll have to drop the price significantly.

My recommendation is to rent it at the video store, because I don't think it has lasting value.

Oh, and I loved the grumpy, stupid barbarians in the bar. :D

Oh Lidda, you sexy pint-sized scamp, you! She has all the best lines, of course. You also see her do a mean back-flip over that Elemental.

Haha. She inspired me. I think my next PC will be a halfling.

:)

This was so great. Got the demo. Watched the demo a bunch of times , different ways. Couldn't find anywhere nearby (that's easily accessible) to buy it, so ordering online.

I have a feeling I am going to become addicted.

Also loved the half -orc (was he a half -orc?) innkeeper/waiter guy in the demo. He cracked me up.

I picked it up today too. My suggestion when you're done playing with it is pass it on to your gaming friends to borrow.

It actually has some pretty amusing lines in it and contains some PG style cussing.

Now on to the sour part: None of my distributors can get this. I can't even order it from WotC! So far, the only places that have had it in stock are Best Buy related stores (Suncoast, Sam Goody and Best Buy).

I'll be passing it around to my friends when I'm done with it for sure.

Here are some troublesome barbarians. [cough]can we say Diablo?[cough] No half-orcs, though, alas...

Yeeks, looks like a cross between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and the Barbarian from Diablo 2 with none of the size...

It'll probably be a pretty short addiction - the story isn't that long, and a lot of the scenes are the same even if you choose different paths. It IS pretty entertaining, though. I've gotten two of the four endings - the same ones that Buttercup got, it sounds like from her description. Maybe I'll try for the other two tonight.

I am running out to best buy here in just a few to pick it up. I put in the demo yesterday right after I got home from work, sat down with my wife and watched it. Before it was over, she asked me if our local comic/game store would have it!

She got hooked as fast as I did, which should not have surprised me, but did anyway.

I was thinking "Mad Max" with the barbarians in the bar.

But, I think this might be a good way to get my non-gaming wife at least a little interested.
