Is there a feat that allows you to maintain scout abilities while wearing medium or heavy armor?

I didn't find one but I do offer this note. Buy medium armor made of Mithral. This would give you a work around the armor problem.

Nod, I'd thought of that. I was trying to build a multi into Paladin, but I think I'll just make a ranger instead.

Paladins aren't actually required to wear shining armor... it's just a serving suggestion on the box.

My group has a Monk/Paladin who wears no armor at all.

Ascetic Knight and Swift Hunter feats are recommended for the abovementioned combos.

Be sure to look at Chapion of Corellon Larethian (Races of the Wild), which is a class for heavy armor + high Dex.
