Scroll spells: this can't be right, is it?

Of course, Feather Fall wouldn't be that useful on a scroll anyway, unless you carried it around in your hand, opened and ready to read, all the time. "No worries, mates. I'll just dig out my scroll of Feather Fall, and--" SPLAT!!
 

We use the standard action for scrolls no matter what the casting time of the spell is in our game. This is a house rule, I guess, but we have never had any problems with it and it just makes sense that it would only take as long to cast a spell from a scroll as it takes to read it. We do make it take longer to create the scroll if the spell being scribed has an unusually long casting time, however.
