Scrying from an item

If you have an item, can you scry the owner if you don't know for sure who it is (i.e. would the item itself count as the 'some connection' that you need to cast the spell?)

I would think "yes". You are allowed to have "Knowledge: None" of the target if you have a connection. One specified case is indeed listed as "Connection: Possession".
