I doubt it makes any difference

Although I do find Mister Reynolds work really good, I doubt that a petition will make any difference. I mean WotC is a private company, in the sense that the public has no real influence on the decisions concerning their employees or ex-employees. Perhaps shareholders can have some say, but that's it. If WotC laid off a bunch of designers in the first place, I doubt they would hired them back because of a petition. It's not like petitionning against something public, where the sides in question really care about the number of people supporting a cause.

BTW, I did sign up, 'cause Sean K Reynolds is a really good designer.

Many ex-employees are now freelancers and consultants.
It would be interesting the see SK have some input into the FR 3.5 book but I don't see it happening.

Hmph..

I didn't see anything wrong with the time portal. Actually I thought it pretty intresting, the use of constructs and all. If no one can use it, but constructs, whats the big deal? Unless, of course, they're of the variety that say "I'll be baack" ;)

In the original setting for forgotten realms there were time portals as well as gates to other worlds. I doubt that the newest incarnation is that bad.

I liked the whole thing with the portal. They did that well, in that they placed heavy limiters on what you can do with it. The same for that time travel spell they put up today.

Irregardless, I signed the petition, because SKR is just that cool (though I disliked it that I had to list my name. I ended up going with my alias on that one).

Besides, it only blocks living creatures. So, constructs are not the only kind of critters that may do time travel.... Wanna send a lich or vampire in the past ? Actually, it's a good way to become a demilich without problem. Or to escape the enthralment of your vampire lord.
