SeaQuest DSV Due Out On DVD

Seaquest... such a series of highs and lows, so far as quality goes... watching it was tough to do because it was preempted about every third show. The one thing I remember from it was the really cute brunette with short hair who's name I just don't recall...

First season had actress Stacy Haiduk as Lt Cmdr Hitchcock and second season on Kathy Evison as Helmswoman Henderson. Both had short brunette hair

"That annoying kid" is right - I never could decide which character irritated me more, him or Wesley Crusher.

Aw, come on now - at least the kid on this show was more of a regular kid.

Not only that, but the first season was the only good one. They had to 'dumb' it down after that - they turned it from a sci-fi show to more of a cheesy b-fantasy show - you can almost hear the studio execs screaming that they 'want more panels of useless lights' to make it seem more 'advanced' and that they want more hot women showing skin. And less intelligent dialogue. And get rid of all that edumacational stuff. It was so disheartening to see what they did to that show after the first season, I just couldn't watch it anymore.

Yeah, the second season went right down the crapper. They got rid of half the cast and replaced them with kids to get a younger audience, which sucked because there was some interesting character development going on in the first season. And the ham handed moralizing was worse than anything Star Trek ever had. The third season was a little better, it was more believable than the crap they had in season one, but by pushing a huge reset button and changing the whole universe the show existed in, I think they just alienated more viewers.
