Search has disappeared!

I am logged in (Welcome, Bad Paper in the upper right corner), I am a community supporter, but Search is gone from my menu bar on the site! Is there another way for me to find the forum search tool?

Did you buy your Community supporter account since the beginning of the year? The crash recovery took the forums back to December 2005. Morrus is working on getting the accounts back from the Paypal receipts.

I wasn't actively hanging around during The Crash, but my account was fine since then. I added another year to my account recently, expiring on 1 July, 2007. Maybe my Search won't turn on until 1 July, 2006? That's crazy talk, though, and computers never do crazy things.

Same thing here. I can't find any record of when I purchased my CS account, but I thought I was still good. I can't locate search anymore, either.

It's a known issue when you renew your account - it's something in the code, and I know they were trying to decide how best to rewrite that portion of the code before the crash sucked their free time away.

Bottom line - email the admins and they'll be able to get you reactivated.

I still do not have Search. Thanks for looking into this. A wild game last night fills me with questions that I know have been asked before on the forums...

I bought a Community Supporter Account during the last sale before this (shortly before the crash), and I don't have Search, either.

Edit: It was on April 16 according to PayPal.

My search has been missing for a few months. Since the board crash. Bummer since I got the community supp account about 3 weeks before the crash... at least that is what I recall. Ah, April 23rd 2006.
