Searching for an Adventure

I'm looking for an adventure centered around finding an orb of dragonkind. I'd prefer the adventure to last about 2 to 4 levels. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm kinda stuck as to where to find something specific like this. Thanks.

I don't recall any published adventures, off the top of my head, other than Carl Sargent's mention that the Orb of the Hatchling belongs to the Great Kingdom's Overking (from the Greyhawk setting).

You may also want to check out Roger E. Moore's "The Orbs of Dragonkind" (Dragon 230, June 1996), which, IIRC, postulates some adventure hooks for the various orbs, too (though it has been awhile since I read the article).

Huh. I'm somewhat surprised that there were never any adventures with the orbs. They strike me as one of the most iconic items. Guess I gotta start from scratch.

Hmm, this is the second time I've read the thread and now I'm thinking I remember a Dungeon adventure that mentions an orb. Might have been dragonkind and I think it was pre 3E, probably was.

Sorry that is about all I can remember. Wait. Or was it a Dragon magazine that detailed the different orbs?

I could have sworn it had a "journal" type entry talking about something missing and his use or acquisition of a dragon orb.
