Technically, in most of the sources, they're only disguised as the vehicle. Subtle difference. If you popped the hood (Again, depending on the source), you'd see parts that would definitely seem out of place on a normal vehicle. They basically are just mimicing the external shape.J-Dawg said:Probably true. The idea of the transfomers being --well, giant sentient robots that can change from a humanoid form to a truck is something that I probably won't ever be able to take seriously. I mean; have you ever seen a truck? The internal configuration, etc.? Being able to mimic the general shape I can see, but to actually be a truck?
.
Well, Peterbilt trucks haven't changed much to this day.reanjr said:I dont understand why people are upset about the Transformers changing. When the Autobots woke up, the ship went out and found contemporary vehicles to model them after. It would make absolutely no sense for them to be old 80s vehicles just because some people have nostalgia over a cartoon from 20 years ago.

In fact, the model 320 is similar to the 80's model, and that would have been an appropriate model for Optimus Prime.
The problem with fanatics is that common sense is in short supply.reanjr said:I dont understand why people are upset about the Transformers changing. It would make absolutely no sense for them to be old 80s vehicles just because some people have nostalgia over a cartoon from 20 years ago.
We've touched upon this subject before. VW suits simply do not want their cars involved in any violent films that may depict battles and/or wars. Something to do with their past association with the Nazis.Cthulhudrew said:Still can't believe they wouldn't let them use the bug in the movie. It's free bloody advertising, dangit!
