Seeking ideas for Geometer class

Hey all. I've been wanting to make a mathematically-themed magic class for a while, called the Geometer. Not specifically themed with geometry, but math in general, I just think Geometer has a nice ring to it.

Anyways, I picture them having abilities that warp space and time. I'm not really too keen on making a spell caster (at least, not the sort who gets a spell list and all that jazz), but rather I'd like to just have abilities that can screw with space and time. I see intelligence and charisma both being key stats (it's not enough to know your stuff, you've got to have the force of will to enforce your ideas on reality).

Some of the abilities I'm thinking are some sort of teleportation, of course. Maybe an ability which makes arrows disappear on one side of the geometer and reappear on the other side. I think wormhole-esque abilities would be a major theme. Maybe an ability to deliver melee attacks at distance?

I'm not really sure if I'd rather go with a prestige class or a full class. I think prestige class would be the obvious answer, but I can't help thinking that I'd like to see it fleshed out into a full class.

So, any ideas on what sort of abilities I could give it?

And on a somewhat unrelated note, I'm also interested in making an alchemist class and if you've got any ideas for that I'd love to hear them. Sort of a transmutation specialist, but could make various items which give magic-like effects yet are not magic (and cannot be dispelled, work in dead magic areas, etc).

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but there is a Geometer PrC in Complete Arcane. It doesn't really do what you are after, though.

Aw, crap. I knew there was a gylph-based prestige class in Complete Arcane whose name had piqued my interest, but who had not appealed to me after reading the abilities... Well, I guess I know where I got the inspiration for the name. :)

On the bright side, I think I've come up with a better idea for the theme. More of a scholastically-oriented monk, trained on perfecting the mind instead of the body (although not neglecting that). At level 20, they'd turn into a pure energy being, similar to ascension in Stargate SG-1, or when Kyle from South Park contemplated the meaning of life too deeply...
