An established D&D 3.5e group in Springfield, (northern) VA is seeking a mature player.

(Note: It is not fancy, but there is a lot there. It does not contain the basic setting information new player’s receive. The site is being built as the campaign progresses.)
To read about our most recent session:

(Note: One of our player’s is a computer whiz so we use a system that links everything about the story together very well. Enjoy exploring the site.)
About us:
I am 34 years old. I fell in love with Dungeons and Dragons when I was eight years old. I have played on and off ever since. The rest of the group is in their late twenties or early thirties. Everyone is married; two of us have children.
About the game:
We play every two weeks on Sundays, usually from 1-6 p.m. I have extensive experience in the Middle East and long-time exposure to the people of Afghanistan. The campaign setting draws heavily on this, particularly the Afghan bits. I also worked in national level politics before leaving my job to raise my children. The game also reflects this (lots of factions with their own agendas). The player’s have cited the intricate and multiple plot lines as interesting. They also say details and NPC’s are well fleshed out. Currently, we have about one combat per session. The rest is frequently role playing and amusing conversations among the ever-more paranoid players.
