Sell me an Adventure

The Grey Citadel from Necromancer games is very good - 6-9th levels out of the box, but could be scaled a bit. Have a look at my review for more details.

I have to concur with MonsterMash. Check out any of Necromancer Games modules, they are without doubt the best of the best when it comes to great adventures.

Try our advneture Where Madness Dwells. Heck, its free. If you don't like it no problem. It has some interesting twist at the end which sounds like what you are looking for. There is a link in my sig below. . .

Maybe have a look at Dungeon Magazine. Three adventures in every issue, and one is always low-level (the second is mid and third is high). The magazine is inexpensive compared to a full-length adventure, and the adventures aren't overly long - but still have a good background, interesting locations, and are great for experienced players.

Published adventures are almost always a railroad, which tends to piss off experienced gamers.
Never, ever experienced this. Weird.

My only recommendation isn't very in depth, but The Dragonfiend Pact from Goodman Games costs all of $2 and is a somewhat memorable adventure for second level characters with an atypical villain.

I agree, good mod for the price and level of party.

I LOVE Banewarrens also, but it's WAY too high for his party. To get there, how about the "Coin Trilogy" from Kenzer & Company. RP, combat and a certain "Lord of the Rings" feel about it. Starts at Level 1-3.
