[Semi-OT] Generating TOC in a PDF

First Post
I've noticed quite a few of the great pdfs for download have the Bookmark Table of Contents in them nowadays. Is there a good way to generate those automatically from my word processing document(s)? I'm using WordPerfect 9 on a Win2k, btw.

Thanks.

You might want to ask this question over in the d20 Publishers forum. I think the folks over there might be more likely to have dealt with that sort of thing.

You can most certainly do it within the full-blown Acrobat application, but I don't believe there's any way to do it within your word processor.

I have Acrobat 5 (the full version, not just reader). What I'd like it to do is take the ToC fromt eh WP doc and convert it to Bookmarks automatically. I'm trying to avoid the manual route since I would need to do this to several docs a day.

Gotcha. Not that I'm aware of, no. If you use InDesign to generate the documents then you can get some good automatic stuff like that, but I don't know of any way to do it out of WordPerfect or MS Word.
