[SEP] Requests Help for Charity Product

Good Day All

It seems the last year has been filled with tragedies. For the tsunami, RPG Charity put out two great products, Elemental: Tsunami and Heroes of Hope (available as PDFs at the usual place). I was happy to be a part of both. In September, Sword's Edge Publishing donated all its revenue to charity in support of the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Now, with the earthquake in Southeast Asia, we want to help as well. Here's what we've come up with:

SEP would like to publish a d20 Modern product focused on search and rescue and disaster relief. Anything that would fit a modern d20 campaign and that has anything to do with disaster relief, search and rescue, or anything that can even be tangentially linked to this theme would be welcome. We're looking for text, art, any help we can get.

Suggestions of good charities to which to donate the money would also be greatly appreciated.

Well, I would need the permission of Dog Soul to use it. Even if it is OGC, I don't want to be scooping anything. If they are cool with it, I'd love to see it.

I kept the rights. That was explicitly spelled out in the submission guidelines for the other project. It's mine to give out, not Dog Soul's, though some people might be a little disappointed to see the same thing in two releases.

It's more that I don't want to step on anyone's toes or have someone feel I'm sniping their stuff. It's more a question of form than rights. I really would like to discuss this with you, so I'll drop you an email.

Still taking ideas for certain. I'll be honest and tell you that there hasn't been much of a response. I'm looking at a 1 December deadline as I hope to get more people on board.

This is a generous idea, but I think the talent well might be tapped for this kind of project at the moment. There have been several lately.

I'll try to come up with something, though.
