Serenity/Firefly RPG - Anyone played it?

Dontcha just hate games that are fast and fun?? :p

But seriously, I personally like the system, it reminds me a bit of the Savage Worlds system which is also a pretty nice little system for cinematic games like this. As has already been stated, I think that a lot of the little bits of "flavor" they stuck in the rules are just perfect for serenity.

I'm actually preparing a game of Serenity RPG for the next Albany Gameday. The working name is "Hard Sell", and it follows the exploits of the amusing and (GASP) vaguely Alliance-friendly crew of the Tian Shia. Actually, the only member of the crew who holds any sort of enmity towards the Alliance is the mechanic, "Jax" Ran, and for good reason. He lived on Hera before the war. When the fighting started, he and his family boarded an evacuation shuttle. It was shot down by an Alliance gunship. Most of those riding in it were killed, including his wife and daughter; he got off lucky, "only" losing his legs. Once I finish typing up the crew bios, I'll post them on my Xanga, with a link in this thread. Quick preview of the rest of the crew, though:
Captain: Jasper Dyne. Son of a (deceased) ship merchant from Boros, he now lives and works on the Tian Shia by the grace of his friend, Kwan Gwaelong, a member of Parliament.
Pilot: Feifei "Deadeye" Gwaelong. Kwan's younger sister. After serving as a sniper, and later as a pilot, for the Alliance during the war, she floated from job to job, until Kwan offered her a seat on Tian Shia.
Bodyguard: Roger Marnay. Despite being only 16, he is a Kung Fu prodigy. Seeing as how neither Dyne nor Deadeye are any good in a fist fight, he was a much-needed addition to the crew. He was hired on Hera, at the same time as Jax.
Freeloader: Lily Marnay. Roger's older sister and Dyne's love interest. She is wily, seductive, and horredously aggressive. She is a gunslinger by trade, and hopped aboard when the ship made berth on Paquin, after hearing her brother was on board.
In case you are wondering about the lack of a medic, Jax can do that too. He's like a Swiss Army knife, only for fixing things, instead of, y'know, cutting things.
