This afternoon, starting at about 4:00 PM EDT (8:00 PM GMT, 1:00 PM PDT) a series of upgrades will be started in order to further improve server security and speed. The first two members of this series are Apache webserver and PHP, which are being upgraded to version 2.0.54 and 5.0.5 respectively. Expect sporadic downages for about an hour while this upgrade occurs. (UPDATE: Due to significant problems on a test server this has been cancelled for now).
