Too bad I missed it. Tull rocks, especially the early stuff. They were a great blues/rock band before they became a great rock and roll band. And of course, they were a great rock and roll band before they became a great folk music band (see Heavy Horses, Songs from the Wood and Minstrel in the Gallery). Of course, they were a great folk music band before they became a great 80s techno-esque band (see the Broadsword and the Beast. The cover art alone is worth the price). They then went back to basics and returned to being a great rock and roll band (Rock Island). And of course, more recently Mr. Anderson has become a great classical composer (see 12 Dances with God and the Secret Language of Birds).
So, yeah... Tull kicks serious butt. .
