In a new campaign we are about to start I am going to play a sun elven wizard. By the end of the campaign which has a high tendency to go epic, I am thinking of having a Wizard5/Incantatrix10/Archmage5. He might specialize in a school I haven't decided yet. So my questions are:
Would this character be effective in a party composing of two other arcane casters?
Do you have any other suggestions of prestige classes that are good for a mage?
What would you suggest that I specialize in and what schools should I choose as forbidden? (If I specialize, necromancy will definitely be a forbidden school.)
Is the new spellcasting prodigy worth it as a feat? (BTW his INT will be 20 after applying the racial bonus)
What feat suggestions would you have for a third level wizard and what else in the coming levels?
What are some must have items for a wizard at certain levels, items that he can afford to pay for?
What spell scrolls would he go after, mainly spells that are not included in the PHB as I am not really familiar with many spells outside PHB?
Please make all your suggestions from WotC products only because our DM has a strict rule about that.
