No One Said They Didn't....
No one ever said the Jedi didn't procreate.
The fact that Luke is Vader's son doesn't seem to have raised too many eyebrows. No one said "Oh, hey there, bastard boy. You don't have a father. Come, let the Dark Side be your father...."
...or words to that effect.
It's just that everyone assumes the Jedi are chaste. It's like they're monks or priests or something. Having done this, again, no one says squat about Anakin's children. Maybe that's because Vader's from the Dark Side -- he's not supposed to uphold the moral code of the Jedi.
On the other hand, no one ever said the Jedi did procreate. For all we know, Anakin's "father" is the Force itself, and that's a common practice for the energy field. It's just that it's been careful up til now, giving mothers a plausible explanation in the form of mortal fathers. These changelings the Force introduces would then go on to be Jedi.
