Shadow Conjuration - how does this puppy work?

Shadow spells can end up being pretty neat. My Sorceror in an earlier campaign had Shadow evocation. Here is one that was funny.

Mektos: ::after casting Shadow evocation Tenser's Floating Disk:: Hey, guys hop on the disk and I will fly to the dock at the bottom of the cliff.
Modi: Ahm, I thought you said you couldn't cast any utility spells!
Mektos: Right, Don't think about what your sitting on too much.

Off we headed!

Ummm... You should realize that if Tenser's Floating Disk is ever more than 3 feet away from the surface beneath it then it instantly winks out of existance. All your friends that hopped onto the disk would have instantly plummeted to the earth below as soon as it moved off of the cliff's edge. Thank your GM for not reading the spell's description when you attempted this. ;)

There are some interesting questions regarding question #3 and spellcraft.

I would say that if you cast a summon spell as a single action a spellcraft check will reveal it to be an illusion. If you choose to cast it as "one round", a spellcraft check would show it to be conjuration.

That's not based on the rules, but what feels right to me. Otherwise spellcraft will just take away all the fun of illusions, both for and against PCs.

Not necessarily. Quickened spells. Or part of the illusion is to give the perception that it took longer than it did.
