Shadow master prestige class

Targos

First Post
I was curious if anybody has ever seen any sort of shadow master prestige class whether its published or a custom. (An arcane caster who specializes in shadow magic.) I'm just looking for some ideas for my game.

There is one is Relics and Rituals. I think it was Pneumeral Lord (I can't spell).

The shadow spells they cast are more powerful and they can do some spiffy things like eclipse the sun.

Pneumeral Lords are awesome and I strongly suspect are only meant to be NPCs. However, they do contain a good number of ideas for a Shadow Lore type character.

The "Blot out the Sun" thingy they have does a great deal more than simply engulf the world in darkness. Hell, they get a LARGE number of spells for free under those conditions. Then again, you'd have to be a 10th level Pneumeral Lord.

Are you looking more for a fighter or mage base?

That's Penumbral Lord. Penumbra is one a them fancy words that refers to a specific kind of shadow. You know how sometimes, depending on the lighting, your shadow is a little fuzzier, and not just a dark outline? The part of the shadow that's shaded (near the edges), but not as dark as the real shadow is the penumbra.
So it's like a half-shadow. (The real shadow is the umbra.)
