Eventually... I would prefer if all the rules and charachter options were in one book and the DM stuff and monsters were in another book.
I like the quickstart guide and honestly my problem is that I want to support the game, but the quickstart guide is so good I'm not sure why I need the full game.
Getting a few more charachter classes like ranger, paladin, druid, barbarian, might get me to commit.

Then do just that. I think that’s cool. Playing the game and discussing it, especially in public venues is supporting the game.

Yeah, one can probably go years with the quickstart books, especially combined with one or more Cursed Scrolls.
The hardcover just adds more of everything, like spells, monsters and an insane number of random tables. But you don't actually need any of that.
