Shadowforce Archer questions

Is this really the place for it? edit: I won't post to another thread, until I have some informed comment to make some other time. I haven't looked into it enough to sustain a debate.

With that info, I think we'll hold off on SFA. I wasn't fond of the feats+skills approach to psi stuff. That said, has anyone tried incorporating psi from the Psi Handbook/XPH into Spycraft? How about magic?

If you want magic and non-skill-powered-psi-like abilities in Spycraft, I strongly suggest you look at Dark Inheritance's new version to be released this summer at Gencon Indy. This book will specifically address the use of standard d20 magic in a Spycraft context, and the titans - a playable race of inheritors of the powers of the ancients - have abilities very much like psi that do not rely on skills or feats to work (though they can help). Good stuff

A couple things to consider. AEG has officially ceased development efforts for the existing SFA product line - whatever is out there now is all there is - no new releases, aside from a possible release of the not-as-yet released SFA Interactive campaign serials off of the website (don't hold your breath). If you are looking for AEG to port SFA to a 3.5 configuration, forget it.

Now - as to the 3.0/3.5 Psionics - just say no! SFA and Star Wars have the right idea (maybe the implementation isn't perfect, but it sure as heck beats the "psionics is magic" approach of XPH.)

You know, I'm all about the SFA psionics system. But when someone says what they want, telling them to want something else is really sort of grating.

Perhaps my humor was a bit too subtle... My point was that since SFA *already* has a psionics system built-in, why not use it as-is (or even adopt it for other d20 settings) rather than try and make it "mesh" w/ 3.0/3.5 psionics?
