Shadowrunners chime in

So how many of you fraggin rekheads bought the novels? What was your favorite? Mine was hands down Bruning Bright. 2XS was a close second though. Also, of you who like the novels, have bought the new one? I'm guilty of it (and already read it too).

The "Never Deal With a Dragon" trilogy. What was it called? The Dragonheart Trilogy or somesuch?

Old-time 1E fan. I miss Tim Bradstreet's illustrations for the series. Harlequin was a great adventure, but I have a soft spot for "Peacekeeper", the Native American Nations 1 adventure. "Special Agent Della Cooper" indeed! :D

(if you don't get that reference, it's past your bedtime you whippersnapper)

I've played 1e, 2e, and 3e.

My favorite character was "Social" who packed a 6 Charisma and maximized all the social skills. Our group tended to breeze through the roleplay parts of the game and Social could talk his way out of most problems.

My favorite adventure was the one where you met up with a guy on the 10th floor of a building or something like that. The elevator was out and had obviously been out for quite some time so you had to go up all the stairs. Then you met up with the guy. The big hint that something was about to go bad was that he was in a wheelchair. I played that twice. The second time I forgot that he was going to double cross us. The encounter was really set up quite well. Both times I thought to myself "I guess the stupid game designer forgot that a guy in a wheelchair couldn't go up all those stairs.". Oops.

I jumped on board with 2nd edition in the early nineties (1992-3). I always seem to end up running games and have never actually played a character in SR, but my favorite archetypes would have to be riggers and mages/shamans.

My favorite adventures are Harlequin, Renraku Arcology: Shutdown, Brainscan, Queen Euphoria, and Super Tuesday!.

I'm looking forward to getting some SR4 going - and who knows maybe I'll actually get to play this time! :p
