Shadows of Greyhawk Campaign

Frick deftly pours a glass of wine for Laverisian saying Well sir, I can tell you this elven wine came from the far off lands of Lendor many years ago when I visited there...one of the finest wines I do believe the elves have ever made! Here, please do enjoy some of my wife's fine sweetbread while we await the rest of your fellows and the Lady herself."

After setting the plate of sliced sweetbread on the bar for Damien and Laverisian he moves from behind the bar and approaches the table the older disfigured gentleman set at and with his usual gleeful smile says "Well good sir, fear not for you are indeed a welcome guest in my tavern and free to partake of what I can offer. Now what may I get you to drink ? Some fine elvish wine, or perhaps a dwarven ale or maybe something less intoxicating...I do believe I have some sweetroot ale if you'd like..."

Then as if talking to no one in particular Frick says "I believe the Lady Sunshadow should be along soon, but it appears we are still waiting for another to arrive for I was told their were to be six of you for dinner..."

Wincing inwardly about the shortening of his name, Laverisian reminds himself "human culture 'tis a strange thing", best to fit in if information is to be obtained.... Reaching for the glass of wine He smiles, takes a sip feeling the rosey necter slide down his throat Well...Damian if I may also be so bold.....I am hunting for some disreputable humans who would dare join with the lower goblin races in a possible incursian into my families forest and since this Lady seems to know of me....possibly she can help with some information to make my hunt more successful. Looking around he finally starts to take notice of a strange gathering of people....I take it that you were also approached by this Lady?

"Indeed I was Lav, indeed I was." Damien replies with a slight grin at voicing the moniker he had given the elf. "This feels like the start of something big in my life. Possibly what I've been seeking all these years. An avenue to pull myself away from the stuffiness of royalty. Although I admit I do enjoy some liberties of nobility and house some superstitions, peculiarities, and the stigma that goes with the territory. But please, tell me more of your plight with the goblinoids. It seems very serious indeed. Do you have any idea on who may be allying with them?"

Tis sad to say my information is truly limited Damian Laverisian states while tasting the sweetbread set before him hmmmm not bad for human make..... could use a little more salt... all I know is that recently the goblins have been getting more bold, and recently one of the hunting parties, of which I had the fortune of working with, encountered a small campsite that had several goblins meeting with Men. Much to our dismay, they seemed to be meeting to discuss further plans of discovering our home. Unfortunatly this lead to one of my fellows attacking this campsite. In the heat of battle, in which one of the Humans disappeared, all the goblins and remaining human were slain. On the body of the human was found referance to this city, so here I am hoping to find the man who did escape. 'Tis a tall order but anything to ensure the saftey of my lands.

Damien gave a grim nod, brightened a bit and clapped Laverisian on the shoulder. "If in our quest to find the Lady's missing heirloom we do not come across something more concrete that points to the perpitraitor that has plotted against your land, I will accompany you in further investigating the matter. That is, if you will have me." he said with a hopeful look in his eyes.

"Your name is Gilda? The lady I encountered didn't really say she needed anything of mine... really... I just was thinking to myself, 'where will I go from here' as I was wandering the streets when she poked me in the shoulder. I figure this couldn't hurt, could it? Er... maybe it could... those guys over there look dangerous and devonair at the same time... are you sure thier safe? I've been victim of certain harlots and thieves at times, and I won't tolerate such acts against the cloth..."

Brenbold watches the gnome make her way over to the table. Seeing her motion him over, he places the hedgehog into his belt pouch. He grabs his drink and the plate of bread and makes his way over to the table. "Greetings. The name's Brenbold. As for the head, it doesn't look like it's bleeding. Try some of the dwarven ale, it'll take the edge off."

Well this one seems honest enough...even though a bit eager thinks Lavorisian...I do appreciate the offer good sir, perhaps I will take you up on what you suggest as cities do make me shall we say 'slightly uncomfortable'. Hopefully this quest for missing heirlooms will bring us into contact with those who would destroy my homeland, although I would doubt they are conected. Looking around again Lavorisian notes the strange group that seems to be gathering in the inn...It would seem the Lady has gathered quite a group together to look for a small item don't you think?
