I finally got my group to try Call of Cthulhu, (they tend to be weary of different games ever since the "Mutants & Masterminds Incident") and they liked it so much interest was expressed in me running the game longer term.
So, I was thinking of running Shadows of Yog-Sothoth, since it sounded the most fun of the 6th edition adventures I found. But then the internet starts telling me that there isn't that much difference between the 2nd through 6th editions. And if that's true I've got a lot more options available. So if anyone has an idea how much edition really matters for an adventure, I'd love to know.
Also, as I assume this will come up anyway. I'm totally open to suggestions if you think there's a significantly better adventure I should be running. (first or third party)
