Shaff Defeats Enigma - Thanks to Knight Otu for judging

also, why do poeple say *yen* after an attack?

my first attack:
Shaff does multiple high kicks to knock Enigma out of the air!

"The staff slashes above the tundra; averts the chi of the grass!"

A 'Yen' move is randomly created by the attack generator once in a while, Shaff. The fighters themselves never add them on. It's just part of the attack that shows up sometimes. Whichever fighter wins the round will also win one Yen that he or she will get at the end of the fight. By saving up the Yen (money), you can purchase items between fights that add to your powers. Check near the end of the rules page for details on creating items and how much it costs.

"Enigma's move might not seem offensive on the first look, while Shaff's move does, but that is a strength in this case.

Point and Yen to Enigma!

1 flag Enigma, 0 flags Shaff, target 2!"

A note on the match length - 2 flag matches are normally standard matches, and as far as I see, 2 flag speed matches are not normally allowed. I guess it is ok for this one time, though.

Enraged at losing the first flag shaff retaliates:

Shaff uses Enigma's own momentom against him to dominate him with a devastating blow!

The ki-rin annihilates the peaks; redirects the aggression of the ice!

Enigma unleashes a flood of unguessed at aggression to pulvarize his enemy and drown him in his own blood!

The chimera drowns the wastelands; shields the chaos of the sky!

"Haven't there been some mountains over there a moment ago? Well, it doesn't really matter.

Point Shaff!

1 flag Shaff, 1 flag Enigma, target 2!"

knowing that this match will finish closely, shaff waves away the attack of Enigma and charges with a devastating move finish him off:

The kama charges the beach; waves away the violence of the feline!

Overcome by a surging feeling of anguish mixed with anger due to his lack of memories, Enigma lets loose a primal scream of rage. The flame of his anger burning hotly, it suddenly becomes a real flame surrounding him like a second skin. As his scream peaks, the flame around him bursts forth in an explosion of fire which rolls over the nearby rocky ruins of the mountains and blasts his opponent as well. The judge, magically shielded from the onslaught, sees the fire high in the sky form into the shape of a giant bird of fire, very much like a raven...

The raven burns the ruins; parts the offensive of the holy ground!

"Charging the beach achieves as little as burning the ruins, and the defenses are not appropriate to the attacks they are set against. However, one defense is a bit more internally consistant in my mind, which makes the difference.

Point and match Shaff!

Shaff, as a white belt who won over a white belt, you advance one rank, have a record of 1 -0, and you may choose between three paths.

You can join the Path of Honor, becoming a Yellow Belt 0, with the Signature style (Kama), the Dojo style and Fist of Fury powers. If you choose this path, you may learn your dojo style from any of the open dojos. You need not do so immediately, but you should do so before advancing to Green Belt.

You can also join the greedy sashes, gaining the powers Signature Style (kama), Profiteer, Arena Fighter, and Bribe Judges. You would be a Copper Sash 0.

Finally, I must inform you of your option to join the Yakuza, as a Thug 0. You would gain the powers of Signature Style (kama), Dirty Trick, and Gang Member. Gang Member is similar to dojo style, but for locations.

I wish to encourage you to look at the paths and choose wisely, and to study the powers you would gain. Also remember that you might get the opportunity to join the Light or the Dark path, as a honor or Yakuza fighter by defeating the right opponents. As I said, look closely at what you gain, and don't be intimidated. Take a little time to decide, but be sure to let me know.

Enigma, despite your missing memories, you likely know that you do not loose much when you lose a fight as a White Belt. The only thing you must be aware of is that your record now is 0 - 1. It was a close fight, and you certainly showed the prowess someone like you should have."
