Shapechange, Nightmares and Astral Projection

If an arcane caster (or druid) shapechanges into a Nightmare and then uses its Astral Projection ability, what happens when he changes form again in the new plane that he just projected himself to? Or when the Shapechange spell wears off? Do they get yanked back to the material plane when one of those 2 things happens? Both?

I'd rule that you get yanked back to your body in both cases.
