Shemeska's Planescape Storyhour - (Updated 27July2025)

I like this post very much and this will be my headcanon as to the metaplot until such time as Shemmy tells us otherwise. :)

An amusing thought occurs. I'm certain that part of the motivation behind GlyphicEngineer's post is that he/she/they wanted more of something that is in limited supply, namely Shemeska's story hour. (No judgement, we're all busy.) I am therefore led to wonder if this same motivation is why Shemeska came up with this whole monumental story (and likewise monumental amount of work) to begin with.

Was there just not enough good D&D fiction / pre-created campaigns out there? :D
Speaking of which, rather than restarting this one again, which SH do you all recommend? I've also read the following multiple times - Piratecat, Sagiro, Shilsen, Lazybones and all the Jollydocs.
Edit: And Sepulchrave!

And on-topic, what a fascinating post, GlyphicEngineer! As metaplot it satisfies some itch I never quite realised I needed scratching. I'll put it in my head-canon for now too :-)

Many thanks for your kind words! With regards to other SH's, I highly recommend Sepulchrave's Story Hour, compiled by Cheiromancer as "Tales of Wyre." It has excellent writing, top-notch roleplaying, and intricate theological worldbuilding. (Regrettably, it appears to be abandoned, but it's still well worth a read.)

Forgot to add that one. Tales of Être is incredible, both the philosophical discussions and the truly epic campaign. The statblocks are breathtaking and the scale of the campaign too. I've recently finished my third re-read of that one
:)

I think I'll go for PKitty next, once I finish the latest Dungeon Crawler Carl and Joe Hill's King Sorrow. The mind flayer and kuo-toa cities are great fun
