I didn't really know where to put this, but anyway....

Some guys try to use various firearms to attempt to shoot locks open. If you don't want to bother reading it:

Pistols: With one bullet? No way.
Rifles: Shoots through, but doesn't always blow off the locking mechanism. You'd have to whittle away at the lock.
Shotguns: Do the job.
