Shot on the Run

First Post
Sorry if this has been addressed before. I know how it is a pain to rehash stuff.

With the Shot on the Run feat.

If my base rate of movement is 30ft. The what is my total movement when using this feet.

Can I really run, can I make a double move, or am I at 30ft total movement with this feat.

Limited to 30 feet. Best use I've found with it is going from full cover, shooting, and going back to full cover. Also, the Manyshot feat goes great with Shot on the Run.

If you are using shot on the run as you described full cover to full cover. At what point are you open to attack.

Can the only way this character be attacked is if they have the same initiative as the attacker?

And I am not familiar with Many shot... what source book is it in?

Your enemy can move around the full cover to attack you, ready an action to attack you when you come out from hiding, or destroy the cover you are hiding behind.

IMHO, shot on the run is not all that great, but it is one of the few archery feats in the PH that you can progress up to past point blank and rapid shot. However, I always prefered mounted archery, moving your horses full speed and getting a full barrage of arrows is where its at!!!

I thought Manyshot didn't work with Shot on the Run by virtue of requiring a Standard Action, while Shot on the Run only allowed an Attack Action.

Although it would be really cool if it did work. :D

Cover to Cover

Given the core books take on actions in a round in reguards to the simultaneity of what is played as a sequence of events, you wouldn't get your cover bonus. After all, you'll be spending the bulk of your time in the open. What's worse, in modern games (not d20) my evil henchmen have been known to interleave armor piercing and normal ammunition in their automatic weapons. In my games, as in FPSs and real life, be careful where you pitch your tent.

I was looking forward to taking advantage of Manyshot in such a manner as well, but the rules do indicate that it cannot be used in conjunction with Shot on the Run. Power Shot can, though. :D
